KM RC Model GPS module Instructions:
First time use: Plug the balance lead into the GPS module. Wait for about 30 seconds to connect to the satellite signal. Place the GPS module inside your battery bay.
1. The GPS module may take longer to receive GPS signals if it is placed indoors.
2. Some faulty readings may occur the first time connecting to the GPS signal out of the box. After connecting to power and receiving a signal. Hold the button for 3 seconds to reset the reading a couple of times.
Testing your battery: The KM RC Model GPS module is designed to measure 1-6S Lipo battery. The main page displays the capacity percentage left. Short-press the button once to go to the second tab for the total and each cell voltage.
1. Other chemistry batteries will not have an accurate percentage reading. For example, LiFe, Li-Ion, or LiHv. Each cell voltage will stay accurate.
2. You don’t have to wait for the GPS signal if you are only using the module as a battery checker.
Testing your top speed: Place the GPS module inside your battery bay. Maintain a leveled path with full throttle for 2-3 seconds.
1. For best results, if used in an urban area, place the GPS screen facing upwards.
2. For RC aircraft, a shallow dive will help build up speed. Enter the dive with moderate throttle, pull into leveled flight with full throttle, and maintain the leveled flight for 2-3 seconds.
Reset the readings: To reset speed and altitude readings, unplug the balance lead from the module. Or hold the button for 3 seconds when connected to power.
